In 1910, Harry and David's dad Samuel bought Bear Creek Orchards of Medford, Oregon, in exchange for a hotel in Seattle. He used to say he traded a lemon for a pear. Pretty good deal, we think. The brothers sure made a name for themselves off those pears. And then they started adding yummy snacks to their pear gifts. Yummy snacks made from the finest ingredients. To this day, we make most of those snacks right here in our bakery and candy kitchens, surrounded by the Bear Creek orchards. And now we've added a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from our Harry & David private label wine collection. Harry and David sure were inspired by those orchards, and so are we.
