Royal Riviera Pears are the best in the world. There is nothing else like them, and they are the best part of this gift box. The Moose Munch is another great thing that comes from Harry & David. The combination of chocolate, nuts and caramel popcorn make it one of the best snacks ever. The extra-sharp cheddar cheese is also very good, but it tastes more sharp than extra-sharp - it could use more bite. They should keep those three things and then start over rebuilding this box!

The Olive Oil Crackers were extremely hard, salty, and dry. I kept asking,"Where is the olive oil?" The Hickory Smoked Summer Sausage didn't tast hickory smoked, it was just okay, and there really is no excuse for putting out a summer sausage with so much fat in it. I've tried low fat summer sausage, and it tastes much better than regular summer sausage. Companies should really work on making some of these snacks healthier. Harry & David's summer sausage has an excessive amount of fat in it - more than most. I found the Deluxe Mixed Nuts to be dry and a bit oversalted as well as kind of flavorless. Harry & David really should work on their nut processing and try to find a way to make them less dry and more flavorful.

The worst item we have ever purchased from Harry & David. It arrived on time and was packaged well. We ordered it for Christmas for ourselves and guests we would be serving on Chriatmas day. The crackers were very stale and very hard. We could not bite them for fear of breaking a tooth. The pears , although tasted just okay( not near as juicy as usual), were under sized and had gouge marks in them. Three of the pears were so small they did not even fill up the partitions in the main box. The popcorn mixture was the best thing in the box. We have never complained before, but there have been some problems in the past. I hate to say this but I guess we just won't order any more. I used to really love the pears I was very embarrassed by this addition to our Chriatmas table. Especially the crackers.

I ordered 9 baskets for our Board of Directors and all of them had bad pears upon arrival!! I will think twice before ordering from Harry & David in the future.

The box that's delivered to me every Christmas season goes to my next-door neighbors who haul in my groceries, brush snow off my car, and solve my computer glitches. When you are 77 and arthritic, the kindness of neighbors like this couple is priceless!
I also share some of my honeybells ( love them and the pears the most!) with them when they arrive. I keep expecting them and my order of Moose Munch any day now, since January is almost over! The wait is sooo looong ... and excruciating!

This has been the perfect gift for my doctor's office. During the year end holidays, it is hard for employees to do errands and have lunch within one hour. This combo gift allows them to have a healthy mixture of fruit and snacks and is always well received.
